To apply a password operational policy to a user, define the policy as a profile and assign the profile to the user. This allows you to operate according to your security policy when users log in or change their passwords.
You can set the following password authentication restrictions for a profile. The contents of the profile are saved as database objects.
Set a password life time
Restrict password reuse
Lock accounts that have failed to log in continuously
